The passion for gold prospecting brought this process engineer from Argentina to Australia as the start of a new life and adventure. Falling in love with the Western Australian outback and the gold history, the thought of staying longer was in his mind - and studying mining engineering was the perfect decision.

Graduated from the first degree in mining, her curiosity about how the mining industry works outside Indonesia and a chance to be a lecturer in her country led her to her first big move in her life - taking another degree in Australia.
He introduced metal detecting to her when they were studying and they found a match of interest. Whenever there was free time to unwind, metal detecting has been their go-to. Having finished their studies, they worked at a gold mine in Kalgoorlie as mining and geotechnical engineers.

Looking forward to getting engaged and married, they decided to make rings of their own. With their background in process and mining engineering, they invested their time and energy learning jewellery making and started gathering tools.

Some of the gold nuggets found were turned into an alloy and cast into rings. Few practices passed, and getting better at casting, they gained more confidence and found a whole new level of joy in doing gold jewellery - this is when Buenaroca was born.
Why 'Buenaroca'?
One fine day in the bush looking for, what they call 'good ground', to prospect for gold. They arrived at the top of a hill with the features that they liked:
N : "Oh, this has the good ground."
G : *(nodding)*
And just like everybody who is learning Spanish, the woman guessed: "Buena (good), Roca (rock). No?"
G : "Mm not quite, it's roca buena, but I guess in some occasions you could say buena roca, such as..." *(thinking)*
N : "Ah okay."
"Hey that's actually a nice name - Buenaroca."
G : "Buenaroca - ooh I think I like that."
